9/7 class notes

According to our consultants there are three r-like sounds in Bengali which are notated as r1, r2, and r3 in this transcription since I can‘t figure out what their appropiate IPA characters are. r1 is described as a ‚front r‘ by our consultants and is called [ˈbɔj.ʃun.r1a] in Bengali (e.g. [r1ɔn] color). r2 is described as a ‚back r‘ and is called [ˈɖɔj.ʃun.r2a] (e.g. [ˈt͡ʃam.r2a] skin). r3 is described as an aspirated back r and is called [ˈɖʱɔj.ʃun.r3a] ([ˈar3.haj] gloss unknown) . Any r that has no subscript is one which I couldn‘t figure out.
Oral dental stops are written as alveolar (e.g. [t̪] is written [t]).
